A match made in heaven

For the experience of it... I was led by my gut and had an amazing experience during that summer 🙌, part spiritual/synchronicities part short lived love story.

I had just come back home from a lengthy stay out of the country, home was not available as I had sublet it, only dirty clothes in my car, and a ticket for a Shaggy Concert I had been waiting for.

That Saturday was not going so well as I faced a pricey car repair after many home expenses during my absence and the whole thing was feeling overwhelming, not to count the endless hours spent waiting on car diagnose and repair.

Concert was soon starting, I was still at the mechanic and doubting if I should still attend or just let it go (being ambivert canceling of plans last minute some times is a relief hehe so I can stay home, yet my extrovert/adventurous side wants me to "go for it" every time)

And so, something inside pushed me to go after things sorted with the car, got ready and headed to the place... parked and off I went.

Concert had just started and my seat was at the top...of the top, yet there was enough space to stay standing by a balcony just before the seats and something stopped me to stay "there", which will also allow me to 💃 💃 dance, so, made sense.

As songs went on, dancing and singing on my own, enjoying myself, people started to gather standing by the balcony; and a tall handsome guy stood next to me, and thought he was with the lady to his left... oh well!!

Long and behold, he was not!!!! ...and the chatting started. A 20 something UK guy traveling to Canada back and forth for work, that night was the one before flying back home and he showed up last minute to the concert in an attempt to entertain his last night... what a causality!

Avid Travellers talks where you spill the beans with ease and trust, we had a lot of things in common -even the color of our watch 😜-, that I was in cloud 9... not for a long run but just grateful for the opportunity to experience meeting that one person you can connect with easily and effortlessly, while traveling.

The concert ended but our conversations didn't and continued at a nearby Club playing mostly Reggaeton, with 70% of male attendants in search of a Latina. 😉

We danced, chatted some more and being the social butterfly he is with extra liquor in his blood, his socializing didn't stop inside the place. Defenseless me (...not) was being approached by other 20 somethings in the club, so time came for me to leave back to adulthood at 2 am!!! Went my way to find him in the crowd and dying to kiss him and not be shy for once... well he was already exchanging numbers with the bartender so, The End, perfect timing. Kiss kiss, bye bye... good wishes!

But nooo, not the end! As I had just settled to sleep... he messaged and called me to meet (whaaaat!!!).

My introvert/adult sense said no way, too late, you're at your friend's, gotta be up very soon... the fun/extrovert part shouted suuuuure, guess which won??? Lol... the latter!

Between 3 and 7 am will leave to your own imagination and version of the truth... I was feeling so very happy, so very thankful for the whole experience in a way that I had always imagined and although I knew from the beginning it was a "present moment" thing, it still filled my heart up with beautiful things.

Time to say bye, wish him farewell, back to my chores and him to packing before a long flight, needless to say, my boldness and honesty scared him, but at my 40 something years of youth... all I wanted was to express and thank for the experience of it all, for being there and being the person I lived it with.... it was not a marriage proposal nor an infatuation.

To me, a perfect example of synchronicities that filled my heart with hope, life and happiness. And thank you to this young man for sparkling in me so many emotions in only 12 hrs, reinstalling hope and putting back a smile in my face as a relive this experience. Great wishes wherever you are!
